The resumption of bombings on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on Tuesday raised fears of the outbreak of a second war in the space of the former Soviet Union, hostilities that come at the worst time for Russia, which tries to mediate, but is now immersed in the war campaign in Ukraine.

The armed clash between the two countries erupted shortly after midnight on Tuesday at different points on the common border with the use of weapons of different calibers, including mortars, and drones.
