CCOO General Secretary Unai Sordo called on Wednesday for a “significant” increase in the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI) for 2023 which “absorbs the entire 2022 rate increase” and pointed to the union’s target at around 1,100 euros.

In an informative breakfast, Sordo pointed out that the old scheme of increasing the SMI has become obsolete and that, given the evolution of inflation, it must be reassessed to avoid losses in purchasing power. .
