The Supreme Court indicated that there is no doubt that the former president of the Junta de Andalucía José Antonio Griñán, sentenced to six years in prison for the ERE, knew and allowed the payment of social aid and work in knowing the “lack of control” and the “very serious illegalities” and that he did nothing to prevent it.

The Criminal Chamber of the High Court on Wednesday made public the ERE’s sentence, of 1,205 pages, which confirms the conviction for the continuing crime of embezzlement of public funds in nine former positions, including Griñán, whose entry into prison is now in the hands of the Court of Seville.
