Your End of Course (TFDC), the commercial brand of DELEM Ocio aimed at pre-university students which has been organizing end-of-year trips to Mallorca or Malta since 2015, has completed its 2022 operation on the Balearic island, beating its customer record and activities. Good news for the tourism sector, one of the economic engines of Spain, the year of a return to normal after the situation experienced the two previous summers due to Covid-19.

The operation of TFDCdeveloped last June with the agency hello mondayinvolved the coordination of more than 12,000 people between customers and the staff of the company itself, triple compared to 2021. A success in terms of organizing and managing the accommodation of customers and monitors, arrivals and departures of young people via ferry or plane and transfers to the island for more than 20 days during which thousands of young people who traveled with TFDC took advantage of the end of the school year.

“The success that the operation went smoothly and that the children were able to enjoy their trip without any notable incident gives it even more value”, underlines Juan Manuel López Lemes, CEO of DELEM Ocio, highlighting the challenge that he posed for the company, with an average workforce of 24, organizes the stay and leisure activities of more than 12,000 people for three weeks.

The figures

The arrival of all the young people who trusted TFDC for their trip to Majorca meant a significant mobilization of resources in terms of logistics and transport. Not in vain, nearly 400 trips by ferry or plane from the peninsula to the Balearic capital were necessary, more than 1,100 customer transfers by bus to the various activities carried out and 60,000 overnight stays in 14 hotels on the island. , with the consequent positive impact for the local economy.

For the optimal development of the trip of all customers, DELEM Ocio has had the collaboration of 200 people between monitors and company staff moved from the different points of Spain where the company is present. The operation was made up of teams from customer service, personnel, mobility, logistics, emergencies and marketing responsible for ensuring the normal development of “more than a trip, an experience we want they remember all their life,” says Lemes.

In short, a challenge for the company recorded with a rating that encourages learning for the future in the rest of the destinations managed by DELEM Ocio: Malta, Isla Tentación – La Ciudad Del Perreo, Interrail, etc. Places traditionally chosen to a lesser extent by young people, but this year their demand has also increased.
