Two judges of the Supreme Court believe that the six-year prison sentence of the former president of the Junta de Andalucía José Antonio Griñán for the ERE case is based on “simple speculation” without “serious and solid evidence” and they consider it to represent a “surprising and significant leap into the void”.

The Supreme Court announced this Wednesday the sentence whose decision was brought forward last July and the particular vote of judges Ana Ferrer and Susana Polo, who consider that neither Griñán nor four other Andalusian public officials should have been found guilty of a crime of embezzlement of public funds, which is one that is punishable by imprisonment.
