A Thai court on Wednesday granted bail to activist Jatuporn Sae-ung, who was sentenced to two years in prison for defaming the monarchy by dressing up as Queen Suthida during a protest in 2020, her lawyers said.

A spokesperson for the NGO Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR), a group that deals with the legal defense of the activist, confirmed to Efe that an appeal court had set a bail of 300,000 bat (8,178 dollars or 8,190 euros).
