Spaniard Jorge Martín (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) surprised all the MotoGP favorites by being the fastest on the first day of free practice at the Motorland Aragón Grand Prix, in which the also Spaniard Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda RC 213 V ), in his reappearance after 110 days out due to his fourth shoulder surgery, said he was “fully ready” to fight for the top spots in the categories.

Márquez set the eighth fastest time, but the best benchmark for his performance was that in this position he was just 359 thousandths of a second behind the time set by Martín and his Ducati, the fastest mechanic in the championship in a single round, since six bikes from Italian manufacturer Borgo Panigale have entered the top ten in the standings.
