Pianist Chucho Valdés and saxophonist and clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera, considered two living legends of Latin sound, relived their musical adventures, their close friendship and referred to the legacy that began more than 60 years ago in Barranquijazz.

During a conversation in the Jumbo Room of the Country Club in this Colombian Caribbean town, Valdés and D’Rivera reviewed their careers, from when they played at the Havana Musical Theater and in the Orchestra of modern Cuban music in 1967 until the founding of the legendary Irakere Orchestra in 1973.
