A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Taitung County in southeast Taiwan on Monday with no casualties so far, after another magnitude 6.4 quake and multiple aftershocks hit the same area Saturday.

According to the island’s Central Meteorological Office, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers at 2:44 p.m. local time (6:44 GMT).
