Barcelona, ​​Sep 19 (EFE).- The FC Barcelona Board of Directors has approved the budget for the 2022-23 season, which foresees an operating result of 1,255 million euros and a profit of 274 million.

Likewise, Barca’s board today closed the 2021-22 financial year with a turnover of 1,017 million euros and a profit of 98 million euros.

On the other hand, during the meeting, the next assembly of compromising members was fixed for next October 9, which will be telematic.

On the same day, Barca will host Celta de Vigo at Spotify Camp Nou in the eighth matchday of LaLiga Santander, which will be played at 9:00 p.m.

During this working session, the Board of Directors was also informed of the progress of the demolition work on part of the third tier of the south goal of the stadium, which began on 1 September. Some works promoted to take advantage of the window of opportunity offered by the break in competition for the World Cup, between November and December.

On the other hand, the development of the basic advanced project for the reform of Spotify Camp Nou has been completed, in charge of the Japanese company Nikken Sekkei, in collaboration with IDOM and b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, who terminated their contract on 15 august.

According to the club, therefore, there was no breach of contract, as some media have reported in recent days, but rather a breach of contract.

After the advanced base project has been completed, the tender process for the construction of the new stadium has already begun. And at the same time, the call for tenders process corresponding to the works management has been completed.

During this Monday’s meeting, FC Barcelona’s board of directors approved that this task should fall to the joint venture formed by the Catalan companies Engineering and Architecture Torrella and JG Engineers. This joint venture will lead the construction phase of the new stadium, assuming the design of IDOM and b720.

Meanwhile, the Barça club continues to work with Nikken Sekkei, winner of the 2016 new stadium design competition, for the Design Guardian tasks of the Spotify Camp Nou project, supporting the tender process for the works, in the drafting of the Execution Project and in the direction of the works.

In the coming quarters, the calls for tenders for the general management of the works (expert), the control of safety and health (occupational risks) and the quality control will begin.
