Paris, Sept. 21 (EFE).- Kylian Mbappé takes part in a publicity photo session organized by sponsors of the French Football Federation (FFF), after giving in to pressure from the player and promising to propose a new legal framework concerning the transfer image rights.

According to L’Équipe, the PSG striker normally participated with his teammates in a publicity photo session deemed important, since it will be broadcast during the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on November 20.

Mbappé is taking part in a publicity session, after refusing on Monday due to a disagreement with certain types of companies that could use his image, including those that promote gambling or unhealthy diets.

In his press release, the player warned that he had wanted for some time to modify the current convention, which dates from 2010 and by which footballers are forced to cede their image to certain brands without having their approval.

A few hours after this announcement, which darkened the atmosphere of the national team even more, the FFF stretched out its arm to writhe and indicated that it was committed to reviewing this legal framework “as soon as possible”, while until now his position was that he would not change until the World Cup in Qatar in November.

The objective, according to his version, is to establish “a new agreement which allows him to secure his interests by taking into account the legitimate concerns and convictions expressed unanimously by his players”.
