Algeciras (Cádiz) (EFE).- The Andalusian Environment and Water Agency (AMA) has confirmed the arrival of a small spill on Rinconcillo beach, in Algeciras (Cádiz), from the ship ‘ OS 35’, beached east of Gibraltar since the incident with another vessel at the end of August.

In a brief statement, the AMA indicated that it is a spill of “small entity” and of the same characteristics as the one that appeared yesterday on the coast of La Línea de la Concepción.

For its part, in Gibraltar remnants of the spill have also been detected on the coast, although with the exception of the Seven Sisters area, reports indicate that the impact of the oil on the coast is minimal, according to a note from the Peñon government.

During the day, clean-up crews were deployed to the beaches of Eastern Beach, Catalan Bay, Sandy Bay, Little Bay, Camp Bay and Rosia Bay, and the latter remained closed to the public during clean-up work.
