Barcelona, Sep 22 (EFE).- The Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) has agreed to maintain 25% of lessons in Spanish in two schools where this measure is already applied as a precautionary measure by court order, despite the fact that the Generalitat had requested his dismissal after the approval of the new language law.

The TSJC has thus spoken out for the first time on schools subject to precautionary measures, after acknowledging last June that the penalty which imposes 25% of lessons in Spanish cannot be applied after the new law approved by Parliament. , which is now in the hands of the Constitutional Court.

While waiting for the TC to rule on the constitutionality of the new law, the Generalitat had requested the revocation of these measures in schools where 25% Spanish was applied by court order, but the contentious-administrative chamber of the TSJC considers that the new legislation “does not necessarily affect the adopted precautionary decision”.
