Murcia, September 22 (EFE).- Artem Pustovyi, player of UCAM Murcia Club Basketball, admitted that he wanted to “show” that his signing was “successful” and highlighted “the very good team” that has been done and “the level of demand that being in this team poses.
The Ukrainian pivot, 30 years old on June 25 and measuring 2.18 meters, who arrives in the capital of Segura from Gran Canaria after having previously passed through Obradoiro and Barça, was presented this Thursday at the COC facilities Ophthalmological Clinics, sponsor of the club for the thirteenth consecutive year.
Pustovyi was accompanied by Ramón Megías, director of the COC and institutional vice-president of UCAM CB, who welcomed him. “You’ve been to other clubs, but like this one, you won’t be at any,” he told her.
Then the player took the floor and started talking about his new team.
“I know UCAM CB quite well because there have been quite a few confrontations that we have had over the years. I know the level of demands of being in this team and that you have to work hard and hard and I suffered that as a rival,” he said.
Referring to the staff at the university, he stressed that they are “very good”.
“We have incredibly good guards, perimeter players who are shooters and interiors of different profiles. It’s a complete block to have a good season,” he added.
That of Sofivska joined the orders of the coach, Sito Alonso, once his participation in the European Championship won by the Spanish team ended. “I was one of the last to arrive and I’m focused on learning the systems and we’ll have further discussions with the coach. Even being in Eurobasket at all times, I knew that I had to come to an end in the best possible shape to face this season so important for me and for UCAM CB”, he commented.
Moreover, he remarked that he intended to leave those who opted for his hiring in a good place and acknowledged that Nemanja Radovic, who was already his teammate at Obradoiro, had contributed to his arrival.
“I want to show that my signing was a success and in relation to Nemanja, who is a great friend of mine, I must say that before signing I asked him questions related to the club and the city and all that. what he told me convinced me”.
“When he retires he can be a great agent,” he joked while being “happy to be back and sure he will be one of the most important players in the team.”
