“Ukrainians are not only defending their own country, they are defending our values and everyone’s security,” Truss told the UN General Assembly, in his first major speech at an international forum.
The new head of the British government assured that she would maintain or increase military support for Ukraine “as long as necessary”.
‘New weapons from the UK are coming to Ukraine as I speak,’ said Truss, who insisted his country will not rest ‘until Ukraine prevails’. .
The conservative leader reacted to the mobilization of reservists decreed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and to his threats on the use of nuclear weapons by assuring that the Kremlin “is trying to justify its catastrophic failures”.

Truss also used the occasion to present his political plan to the world, highlighting economic growth as a high priority and promising tax cuts.
“We want people to keep more of the money they earn, so they have more control over their own lives and can contribute in the future,” he said.
