Madrid/Castelló, Sep 23 (EFE).- Actors Petra Martínez and Juan Margallo will premiere the National Theater Prize 2022, which they have just received, in the city of Castelló, where this Friday they will perform ‘La senorita doña Margarita”, directed by Margallo and starring Martínez.

“If I close my eyes, I see myself with Juan on stage, in life, with children, with friends. Juan and I with our talks, with our everything,” the actress, who was awarded with her husband, Juan Margallo, told Efe.

“Juan and I are in disbelief. It was very nice that they gave them to both of us. Our careers have been united, we have always worked together,” emphasized Martínez (Linares, Jaén, 1944).

“The more the years pass, the more the prizes are appreciated, the more exciting they are”, adds Petra Martínez in a statement to Efe, on her way to Castelló, where this afternoon she will climb to the tables of the Paraanimf of the Universitat Jaume I to perform “Miss Doña Margarita”, a work she performed 30 years ago.

“I’m going to do the show happier than a partridge, enchanted by life”, laughs Martínez, who intends to tell the public, “in case you haven’t heard”.

He recognizes that this prize, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, for his “deep and permanent commitment to art and society” and for “the consistency of his career on stage”, makes him happy, “but even more share it with Juan”.

Now, after the news, she is happy, happy. “If I close my eyes, I see myself with Juan on stage, in life, with children, with friends. Juan and I together with our discussions, with our everything,” he adds.

He recognizes that, although he argues with Juan, “we have the ability to take everything in the field of humor, both at work and at home”, adds Martínez.

He assures that when they argue, “we break this tension with a little humor and we usually say: ‘Hey, we are going to die’, and with this sentence we cut it”.
