The Aemet warned this Friday that the National Hurricane Center of the United States already estimates “70% chance that a tropical cyclone will form in the Atlantic” in the next 48 hours, and that it would already move like a tropical depression from Cape Verde heading north. .
The tropical depression should not pass over the Canary Islands, so “the wind will not be a generalized unfavorable factor”, but the Spanish islands will not be spared from the effects that this phenomenon will cause in this area of the Atlantic, they have l focus of the Meteorological Agency.
As for the temperatures, during the weekend “they will drop sharply throughout the country”, they pointed out from Aemet, although the drops will start today in the northwest, on Saturday they will reach the rest of the Atlantic slope, upper and middle Ebro and the Canary Islands, and on Sunday they will reach the Mediterranean area.
The most remarkable thing in terms of the values is that they will be more typical of autumn, with highs that will not exceed 20 degrees in the north, although the heat and heat will still persist in parts of the Mediterranean.

On this day, the thermal drop will also be noticed in Albacete, Barcelona, Bilbao, A Coruña, Cuenca, Huesca, Lleida, Logroño, Madrid, Ourense, Valencia, Teruel, Pontevedra and Salamanca with values between 20 and 23 degrees.
Next week will start with showers and thunderstorms in the Canary Islands, locally strong, although less persistent, to gradually disappear throughout the week, and there will be only cloud intervals with probable light rain in the north of the islands with the greatest relief.
In northern Galicia and in the Cantabrian region it will rain persistently throughout the week, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, while in the Mediterranean region and in the east of the peninsula there will be thunderstorms Monday, which could be strong.
From Aemet they influenced that from Tuesday, except in the north of the peninsula, “a period of calm opens until Thursday”, when the rains will probably be reactivated, first in the northern half of the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands and , facing the weekend, more generally.
As far as temperatures are concerned, a week with “drops between Monday and Wednesday” is expected, to recover slightly on Thursday, and go down again from Friday.
